Board Purpose

Our Values don't say what the organization does but how it will do it. Values define the moral and ethical principles and express the core ideology that the organization believes in.

Board of Trustees

Uhuru executive and trustee boards are vested with the role to govern the organization. This authority comes with the expectation to lead the organization with dignity, and pride.   

      Executive Board Responsibilities

  • Respecting all the laws
  • Abiding by strict ethical standards
  • Remaining fully accountable for its actions
  • Determines the direction for the organization
  • Guards its mission
  • Sets the standards and ethical guidelines

       Executive Board Duties

  • Enforces organization bylaws
  • Protect organization interest such as its image financial interest, proper use of funds, organization properties, disciplining of members
  • Day to day operation
  • Implement organization activities, programs and events meeting deadlines to implement organization activities set by its board
